American comedy-drama series ‘Russian Doll’, starring Natasha Lyonne in the lead role, has been renewed for a second season. The new season will have eight episodes. In the show, Lyonne plays Nadia, a young software engineer, who is on a journey to be the guest of honour at a party in New York City. But she gets caught in a mysterious loop as she repeatedly attends the same event and dies at the end of the night each time – only to awaken the next day unharmed as if nothing had happened. Lyonne, who also serves as a writer and director for the Netflix original series announced the show’s renewal at the CODE Conference in Arizona, reported Variety. Lyonne appeared in a brief Twitter video on the show’s official account, announcing the renewal. “Hey, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson here, hanging out at the gym, working out. What’s going on with you?” she joked, speaking to a bathroom mirror. “Season 2. Thank you!” “Did you get the news? ‘Cause you’re about to die.
